Surreal Summer

I tend to go through phases of what interests me photographically, but there are certain things I find myself being drawn back to again and again. Years ago I did a photo series called “Imaginarium” which focused on the limitless imagination of kids. Throughout this summer, I found myself gravitating once more to themes of youth and surrealism. I like to think of this collection of images as the more mature older sister of “Imaginarium”—a bit more complex and more nuanced, but still full of nostalgic childhood fantasy.
